Rezz Radio is a local production that has been in service for seven years. The programming is developed, written and produced by students at the Hannahville Indian School / Nah Tah Wahsh PSA.
The high school and middle school students produce the half-hour radio show in a classroom at the school. The show is then broadcast on the local (off reservation) radio station, The Eagle 107.3. The show’s focus is to help build understanding between the Indian community and general public through Native music (both traditional and contempory), interviews, cultural information and stories. Potawatomi language is integrated into portions of each show. Locally and nationally produced health related commericials created by students are an additional contribution to the show. And finally, national Native American news, community news, and school news round out the overall programming.
